Church of 8 Wheels
Abandoned 120 Year Old Church Turned Roller Rink
The Church of 8 Wheels is a roller skating rink and event space built in an old 120 year old church. It was founded in 2011 by David Miles Jr., a former professional roller skater and skate shop owner. Miles saw a need for a retro-style roller skating rink in the city, and set out to create a space that would be welcoming to skaters of all ages and skill levels. The Church of 8 Wheels quickly gained a devoted following, and today it is known for its weekly roller skating parties, dance and fitness classes, and other events. The rink’s hardwood floor, DJ booth, and full bar add to its fun and festive atmosphere.
